Tribbles  (click here for the PDF)

First, let me say I am a Star Trek fan and mean no disrespect to the series.  But, it is a perfect example of people thinking they don't need God. This is a 2 or 3 minute skit about how a group of people can sell the Church on something other than the truth. This skit is supposed to be tongue-in-check with a very serious thought behind it. Following the Truth means following the Word.  I urge you to use it with caution and as an encouragement to hold everything up to the light of the Word of God.

This is best used as a sermon starter.

God bless you in your efforts for HIM.

Here's a monologue about hospitality. We never know when we are entertaining Angles instead of people. Here's what might happen if an Angel showed up.

Here's a pdf of the skit The Apps: Jesus Is Not An Add-On

One word of caution here. There's a lot of cell phone abuse in this skit...please be careful with the cell phone that you use.

This skit was inspired by a sermon I heard recently. Jesus cannot be added to our messed up lives. He must be invited to come into our hearts and change us from the inside.

Also, feel free to change any words that will match the age of your actors. I say this because language changes so quickly.

God bless you in your efforts to touch people in His name.

Here's a monologue about the difference between saying the Bible is important and actually believing it's important. It's meant to be funny.  I hope your audience enjoys it while catching its point.

God bless,

Here are two versions of the same skit.  It can be used as a sermon or teaching starter. The subjects could be the Rich Man, selfish behaviors, or the difference between living spiritually and carnally.

Tables

This is very short and very poignant. It can be done with or without spotlights, using 1 to 3 readers, with or without props. This one is really up to you.

It's basically about the simple items that show the world who we are. The first table is about Jesus, the second and third are about the rest of us.

I've had several people all give a different take on what this monologue skit is about.  So, I won't go into any of that here.  Feel free to take a look and decide for yourself.

Toward the end of the skit, the character turns back into the actress and starts talking to the audience.  If you wish, you can drop this part and have someone else ask the questions and open the discussion.

God bless.  I hope it blesses someone to action.

Easter Angels

Here's a little someting for Easter.  I worked it for our church but, alas, that's not to be this year.  I still thought it'd be good to share here.  The famous "It's Friday but Sunday's Coming" is used by permission.

God bless,

Wise Guy --A Christmas Skit

Posted by free4dramaministry on September 27, 2010 at 9:17 PM

Ok, I finally did it.  I wrote a 2 minute (or so) Christmas skit.  This one is about a 'mob like' wise man who gets caught by Herod's cops.  I know it sounds silly, it's supposed to be funny.  Should you use it, I'd appreciate knowing how it goes over.

Feel free to play it WAY over the top.

One last footnote.  We've decided to do this skit this year.  We've put a little twist on it.  We're going to put the kids in oversized clothes and have adults record the voices.  The kids will 'act out' the skit as the adults voices are heard.  Sounds nuts?  We hope so.

God bless,

Feel free to take these characters 'over the top'.

Mary Magdalene

Posted by free4dramaministry on February 2, 2010 at 9:55 PM

 http://free4ministry.webs.com/Mary%20Magelene.pdf

This is a monologue of Mary Magdalene.  It's fictional but it is based on what we know of her from the Bible.  I just thought that it was interesting that she had had seven demons and there are seven deadly sins according to some traditions of the faith.

This can be done as a Readers' theatre or it can be memorized.

God bless,
